During her training, she dedicated time to investigating the cellular mechanisms of fracture healing and cartilage regeneration. Compton completed her undergraduate and master’s degrees at Yale University, medical degree at Columbia University, residency at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Washington University in St. “There is nothing better than doing what I love to help patients do what they love,” says Dr. She enjoys collaborating and tailoring treatment to patients’ goals. Jocelyn Compton grew up in a family of engineers and physicians, so it came as no surprise that she felt right at home as an orthopedic surgeon.
